Use
To measure a rectangular shape:
- click one corner point of the rectangle
- move the mouse to the opposite corner point of the rectangle and click
Measurements
The area, perimeter, width, height, average intensity and hue are displayed in the Measurements list window (*).
Width and height are measured on the vertical and horizontal axes respectively.
When the option Show result after finalizing measurement is selected, then the perimeter, area, width and height are displayed in a small window next to the object.
Summary statistics for all areas, perimeters, widths, lengths, and average intensities measured with the Rectangle tool are displayed in the Statistics window.
*Only the parameters selected in the Measurements List Columns options box are displayed in the Measurements list window.
